Description

Marymere Falls – This is my second photo of this beautifully waterfall. It flows into the brilliant blue lake downstream. The water gets a blue cast due to the lack of nitrogen in the water, thus limiting algae growth. The trail is a heavily used trail but unlike many parts of Washington this trail is not dog friendly so don't plan on bringing you favorite four legged hiking buddy.

For this photo tried several compositions. I found this one along the trail and I liked how the green of trees contrast with the blue waters of the waterfall. I hope you enjoy. – A photograph by Matt Halvorson
