Artist's Description
Marymere Falls – flows into the brilliant blue lake downstream. The water gets a blue cast due to the lack of nitrogen in the water, thus limiting algae growth. The trail is a heavily used trail but unlike many parts of Washington this trail is not dog friendly because it is within the national park boundaries and federal parks are not dog friendly.
For this photo tried several compositions but ended up finding this one along the trail and I really liked how the trees framed the waterfall and the sunlight was just hitting the leaves adding a splash of brightness to go with the waterfall. I hope you enjoy. – A photograph by Matt Halvorson
